What do we do?

North East Citizen Advocacy (NECA) is a community based not-for-profit advocacy program in the Banyule, Darebin, Whittlesea and Nillumbik LGA’s. The program seeks to uphold the rights and interests of adults with an intellectual disability on a one-to-one basis by addressing instances of discrimination, abuse and neglect.

New Public Hearing Announced

The Disability Royal Commission’s next hearing will be in Sydney, starting Tuesday the 18 August.

It will investigate the experiences of people with disability during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The hearing will look at government responses to the pandemic and the impact on people with disability.
